Hailey Mullock

Hailey Mullock creates analog collages, books, and zines. Her work is inspired by ideas of memory, history, and home and how these connect individuals together.

Through her artwork she explores complex feelings of nostalgia for home; for the deep yearning for the feeling of home. Home can be a real, concrete place but also experienced or rituals that elicit a particular home feeling. Home can be a mixture of feelings such as comfort, safety, guilt, or duty.

She works to create the tension and complex emotional relationships we have with the places and people we live with. Through surrealism and using found/discarded materials, she pulls out different aspects of the feeling of home without it needing to be a ‘real’ place.
She currently lives in Toronto, Ontario.
